Publishing AI Websites to Custom Domains
A website on a subdomain is fine for testing, but for your business or brand, you need your own domain. Genesis AI makes publishing to custom domains straightforward.
Why Custom Domains Matter
- Brand credibility — yourbrand.com is more trustworthy than yourbrand.genesishub.ai
- SEO benefits — Custom domains build domain authority that compounds over time
- Email consistency — Match your website domain to your email domain
- Portability — You own the domain regardless of which platform you use
How It Works in Genesis AI
Step 1: Register Your Domain
Purchase a domain from any registrar (Namecheap, Google Domains, Cloudflare, etc.). If you already own a domain, skip this step.
Step 2: Add the Domain in Genesis AI
Go to your project settings, click "Custom Domain," and enter your domain name. Genesis AI will provide you with DNS records to configure.
Step 3: Configure DNS
Add the provided CNAME or A record to your domain registrar's DNS settings. This tells browsers to load your Genesis AI page when someone visits your domain. DNS propagation typically takes 10-30 minutes.
Step 4: HTTPS Certificate
Genesis AI automatically provisions and renews an SSL/TLS certificate for your custom domain. Your site will be served over HTTPS with no manual configuration required.
Step 5: Publish
Click publish. Your AI-generated website is now live at your custom domain with HTTPS.
Performance Optimisation
Published pages are served from a CDN for fast loading worldwide. Static HTML pages generated by AI load in under one second on modern connections. For the best performance, optimise your images before uploading them.
Requirements
Custom domain publishing is available on the Pro plan. Free and Starter users can publish to a Genesis subdomain (yoursite.genesishub.ai).
